Broke my glass lamp shade two days ago and decide to reuse the stand. DIYed a paper shade using some baking paper (to prevent burn marks) and some leftovers gift wrap paper.

One day while I was staring at my 2.55 bag, the strap reminded me of the chain necklace Chanel has a while ago. I wanted to try to make my own so I went out and get some golden chain and black suede strips. All you need to do is weave the suede strip into the chain and voila….. a Chanel inspired chain necklace. Another addition to my golden obsession :)

Gold & Silver! I was bored today so I just played around with the golden and silver cross-stitch thread I bought a while back.

I have been wanting a golden bracelet for some time. So for my last diy of 2011, I decided to make a golden bracelet for myself. I remembered the safety pins bracelet diy project I saw online a while back so I thought why don’t I make one out of gold pins.
It was a quick project and an inexpensive one too! I think it cost me less than RM5 to make. All you need is gold pins and elastic. Because it’s not real gold, the gold pins tend to get darker over time but it adds a bit of rustic feel as they oxidize.
